Feeling ko, in small ways, my work as a librarian has made the library more approachable and engaging for our users. Minsan kasi may impression na libraries are super strict and intimidating diba? Yung nakalikihan nating mga masusungit na matatandang librarians, but I try to make interactions more chill and welcoming, whether sa reference services, or even yung casual conversations lang. On a day-to-day level, feeling ko my impact is just being someone na madaling lapitan, approachable, katrabaho man yan or library users. Minsan research-related inquiries, minsan random questions lang, pero knowing that people feel comfortable asking for help means a lot. It’s a reminder na being a librarian isn’t just about managing books and resources, but also about sa building connections and making surena yung library stays relevant to the people who use it.
